The George Mason baseball program is bringing in one of the names synonymous with their sport to speak at their First Pitch Dinner. Hall of Famer George Brett is the headline name at the event that takes place on February 10th at Dewberry Hall.

Kansas City Royals executive and George Mason alum J.J. Picollo helped them get Brett for the dinner. Individual tickets are $200 while two different sponsorship packages exist for $1,500 and $2,000.

Proceeds raised benefit the team. It should be a great night to learn from one of the greats of the game.

Brett spent his entire 21-year career with the Royals and was selected to 13 straight All-Star games. He stands 16th all-time in major league history with 3,154 hits.

Brett won three American League batting titles and was the 1980 AL MVP. He led Kansas City to a World Series title in 1985 and is regarded as the greatest player in franchise history.
