Basketball Hall of Famer Adrian Dantley Highlights Day One at the Batavia Downs Sports Card Show

While over 30 stars from the world of sports are appearing at the two-day Sports Card Show at Batavia Downs in upstate New York, there was no more prolific athlete to appear Saturday than Basketball Hall of Fame guard Adrian Dantley.

Dantley signed autographs at the event put on by The Sports Corner.  He autographed any item from 1-2 p.m. for $20.

Admission is $6 to the show with children eight and under getting in for free.  Upon entry, individuals over 18 also receive a $5 free play ticket for the casino.

Dantley made his mark on the area in his only campaign with the Buffalo Braves, winning the 1977 Rookie of the Year award.  He went on to play 14 more seasons with six other franchises..

Dantley was a six-time All-Star and was twice named to the All-NBA second team. In those two All-NBA seasons, Dantley led the league in scoring.

During the prime of his career, Dantley spent seven seasons with the Utah Jazz and the franchise retired his #4 jersey.  He finished his playing career with over 23,000 points scored and a 24.3 points per game average.
