Butler Basketball Coach Chris Holtmann Speaks at YMCA Community Prayer Breakfast

While he may no be heading Butler basketball, Chris Holtmann is still revered for the work he did at Gardner-Webb.  He will return to the area later this month as the keynote speaker at the 21st annual YMCA Community Prayer Breakfast.

The event will be held at the LeGrand Center on April 29th in Shelby, North Carolina.  Breakfast will be served beginning at 6:45 a.m. while the program starts at 7:15.

Tickets to attend cost $15 per person and a table of eight is $110.  As one of the nation's top rising coaches, Holtmann will have an interesting angle of success to present.

Holtmann has kept success alive while serving as head coach at Butler.  The Bulldogs have won over 20 games in each of his two seasons and made two trips to the NCAA Tournament.

Holtmann originally came to Butler as an assistant coach for the 2013-14 season before taking over the top job the following year.  He has previously been the head coach at Gardner-Webb for three years.

In 2013, Holtman's squad won over 20 games and he was named Big South Coach of the Year.  He began to craft an interest in coaching as an NAIA All-American player at Taylor University.
