Canadians Star P.K. Subban Talks About the Importance of Philanthropy at C2 Montreal

P.K. Subban is revered in Montreal, not just for his stellar play on the ice but also for his tremendous involvement in the community.  This week, he is sharing his message of philanthropy as one of 72 speakers at C2 Montreal.

The sold out fifth annual event takes place at Arsenal.  It is a business conference that attracts upwards of 5,000 people a year who want to be challenged and network with leaders from across the globe.

Tomorrow, Subban is one of the closing speakers at the event in a session that runs from 3:55-5:40.  Media mogul Martha Stewart and journalist Ali Velshi will also speak during this time frame.

Last September, Subban made his commitment to the city of Montreal bigger than hockey.  He donated $10 million to the Montreal Children's Hospital.

Subban has played all of his seven NHL seasons with the Canadiens.  He has been named to the first All-Star team in 2013 and 2015.

During that 2013 season, Subban tied for the scoring lead among defensemen and won the James Norris Memorial Trophy.  He has also been a standout for Team Canada, helping win a gold medal for his country at the 2014 Olympics.
