The second annual All Star Preps Best of the Rock River Valley Banquet takes place on June 29th. Chicago Blackhawks star Duncan Keith is serving as the keynote speaker. 

The event is being held at the BMO Harris Bank Center in Rockford, Illinois. It is being hosted by The Rockford Register Star and The Journal-Standard of Freeport and sponsored by Mercyhealth. 

Several local high school athletes will be honored with awards at the banquet. Honorees get free tickets and others who wish to attend can purchase tickets for $50. 

Keith is the longest-tenured player on the Blackhawks and annually ranks among the best defensemen in the league. He has helped Chicago win the Stanley Cup in 2010, 2013 and 2015. 

In 2015, Keith won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He is a two-time winner of the James Norris Memorial Trophy. 

Keith is a four-time NHL All-Star. As a member of team Canada, he won Olympic gold medals in 2010 and 2014.
