Chicago Cubs Ace Jake Arrieta Signs Endorsement Deal with Saxx Underwear

Chicago Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta became one of baseball's true stars last season.  This week, Saxx Underwear signed him to a endorsement deal in hopes of capitalizing on that popularity.

Arrieta is going to be featured in Saxx's "Free To Move" campaign.  He will also consult the company on future design ideas.

Saxx has also enlisted NBA forward Kevin Love, surfer Mark Healey, and rally driver Ken Block as athlete ambassadors.  With the Cubs continuing to rise, this could just be the beginning of opportunties for Arrieta.

Arrieta found his way last season, going 22-6 with a 1.77 ERA and 236 strikeouts.  He won the National League Cy Young Award and finished sixth in NL Most Valuable Player voting.

Already in 2016, Arrieta is picking up where he left off last year.  He is currently 3-0 with a 1.23 ERA and 10-3 Chicago boasts baseball's best record.

Arrieta joined the Cubs after being traded by the Baltimore Orioles in 2013.  He was originally drafted by the Orioles in the fifth round of the 2007 MLB Draft and pitched his first four big league seasons with the franchise.
