Colorado Men’s Basketball Coach Tad Boyle Keynotes In-State Prep Banquet in May

This May, University of Colorado men's basketball coach Tad Boyle will be speaking in the northern part of the state where he built roots in the sport. He is the keynote speaker at The Greeley Tribune Best Preps award banquet.

The event will be held on May 24th at 6:30 p.m. at the University of Northern Colorado's grand ballroom. Top athletes and coaches from Greeley and all of Weld County will be honored.

Boyle is a Greeley native and former head coach at the University of Northern Colorado. Individual tickets to attend are $40 and doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Boyle began his coaching career at various high schools in the local area. In 1994, he took a job as an assistant at the University of Oregon.

After stops at Tennessee, Jacksonville State and Wichita State, Boyle got the opportunity to take over the UNC program in 2006. After a banner season in which the Bears went 25-8 and finished second in the Big Sky Conference, he was hired at Colorado in 2010.

Boyle has since led the Buffaloes to four NCAA Tournament appearances. In his second season, CU won the Pac-12 Tournament Championship.
