Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Speaks at a Luncheon for The Salvation Army

Dallas Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones had a chance last week to give back to a charity he has long been affiliated with.  Jones was the keynote speaker at the inaugural “Inspiring Hope” luncheon that benefited The Salvation Army.

The luncheon was hosted at AT&T Stadium with hundreds in attendance this past Wednesday.  Both the Gene and Jerry Jones Family North Texas Youth Education Town and the Family Life Center are projects that the famous owner has partnered with The Salvation Army on.

The YET assists Arlington children by advancing their education.  At the Family Life Center, the 16-room shelter allows for families to build toward a better life.

Jones is one of the most powerful owners in sports and someone credited with crafting the brand behind “America’s Team”.  He originally took control of the franchise in 1989 and set in to motion a run that would see the Cowboys take three Super Bowl titles.

Today, Jones remains a very public face and voice among the NFL’s ownership.  He was also instrumental in the AT&T Stadium project, which his colloquially referred to as “Jerry’s World” and known as one of the best venues in all of sports.
