Eagles Rookie Quarterback Carson Wentz Signs First Philadelphia-Based Endorsement Deal

Philadephia Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has had a sensational rookie season and he has been reaping the benefits off the field. He has signed several endorsement deals back home in North Dakota and now he has his first agreement with a Philadelphia-based company.

Wentz is working with Philadelphia energy supplier, NRG. He has a deal with the company that runs through 2017 and radio spots featuring him will start airing next week.

A pact with NRG was a natural fit seeing that they already the official energy supplier of the Eagles. Defensive lineman Connor Barwin has also been an NRG ambassador since 2014.

So far in his rookie campaign, Wentz has thrown for over 3,000 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month in September and a three-time NFL Rookie of the Week.

The highlight of Wentz's season was a 34-3 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He threw for 301 passing yards, two touchdowns and was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Philadelphia selected Wentz with the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He was a starter for two FCS national championship teams at North Dakota State University.
