Former Ace Pitcher Dwight Gooden Holds New York Autograph Signing Later This Month

UMH Properties is bringing one of the most dominant athletes in the history of New York sports to one of their communities later this month.  On June 18th, former MLB pitcher Dwight Gooden will be in Monticello, New York at Kinnebrook Estates for an autograph signing.

From 12-2 p.m., Gooden will sign people's personal sports memorabilia or free photos available on location.  To interract with the ex-star hurler, attendees will simply have to tour a UMH model home.

In addition to the Gooden signing, there will be free snaks, raffle prizes and giveaways.  After Gooden's storied career that included seminal moments with the New York Mets and New York Yankees, this is sure to be a well-attended event.

As a 19 year old in 1984, Gooden made his big league debut with the Mets on a fast track for success.  He made the first of his four All-Star teams that season and was named National League Rookie of the Year.

The following year, Gooden led baseball with 24 wins, a 1.53 ERA and 268 strikesouts on the way to NL Cy Young honors.  He would also capture a World Series crown with the franchise in 1986.

Gooden would later win two more World Series titles with the Yankees.  In 2010, he was inducted into the Mets Hall of Fame.
