Former Baseball Standout Andruw Jones Speaks at Charleston RiverDogs Hot Stove Banquet in February

The Charleston RiverDogs are bringing in one of baseball's all-time greats. While Andruw Jones will not be playing for the team, he will be speaking at their Hot Stove Banquet and Auction.

The 14th annual event takes place February 2nd at the Charleston Marriott's Crystal Ballroom. Individual tickets are $75, tables of eight are $600 and tables of ten are $750.

Jones joins a long list of Atlanta Braves luminaries that have spoken at the banquet, including John Smoltz, Tom Glavine and Bobby Cox. He should certainly bring some fun stories from his standout career.

Jones was a phenom, debuting with the Braves in 1996 and becoming the youngest player to ever hit a home run in a World Series game. He went on to make five All-Star teams while in Atlanta.

Jones was also considered the best defensive center fielder of his era and he won ten straight Gold Gloves from 1998-2007. In 2005, he finished second in National League Most Valuable Player voting after leading the league with 51 home runs and 128 RBI.

Jones played for four other franchises before spending two seasons playing in Japan. He retired with 434 career home runs and is a special assistant for the Braves.
