Former Eight-Time MLB All-Star Darryl Strawberry Keynotes Hannibal-LaGrange University Booster Banquet

Former Major League Baseball All-Star Darryl Strawberry does not stop when it comes to trying to impact lives.  His powerful story of recovery from addiction has helped countless people.

On November 11th, Strawberry is the keynote speaker for the 75th annual Hannibal-LaGrange University Booster Banquet.  The school is a Christian college located in Missouri. 

The banquet benefits the various athletic programs at Hannibal-LaGrange.  Tickets have been on sale since September 1st and are currently available. 

Strawberry had a 17-year pro baseball career and was an eight-time All-Star.  He came onto the scene as one of the top home run hitters in the game in the 1980's with the New York Mets. 

In 1986, Strawberry anchored the middle of the Mets order as they went on to win the World Series.  Later on in his career, he was able to help the New York Yankees win three titles as well.

Overall, Strawberry hit 335 home runs.  He is now a member of the Mets Hall of Fame and an ordained minister.
