Former Major League Manager Buck Martinez Speaks at UFV Cascades Fundraising Dinner

Buck Martinez is a favorite among Canadian baseball fans. There is sure to be an enthusiastic crowd when he speaks at the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades fundraising dinner. 

The event takes place on February 10th at the Quality Hotel and Conference Centre. There will be dinner and a live and silent auction to take part in in addition to Martinez's remarks. 

Early bird registration for single tickets are $130 and $1,000 for a table of eight. Prices go up on January 10th. 

Martinez had a 17-year major league playing career, spending the final six seasons of his career with the Toronto Blue Jays. After retiring, he immediately moved into the Blue Jays radio booth. 

Martinez spent two seasons as the manager in Toronto. He returned to broadcasting on television with the Baltimore Orioles from 2003-09. 

Martinez has also spent time co-hosting a show on XM Radio and doing national telecasts for ESPN and TBS. He is currently the Blue Jays play-by-play voice for Rogers Sportsnet.
