Former New England Patriots Offensive Lineman Sebastian Vollmer Keynotes Milford Daily News Fall All-Star Awards

As someone who played an active role in creating one of the greatest dynasties in sports history, former New England Patriots offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer has some interesting stories to tell. He was able to share some of them as the keynote speaker at the Milford Daily News Fall All-Star awards ceremony.

The event took place on Sunday at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. There were 144 student-athletes from eight different sports honored for their achievements.

Vollmer talked about defining individual success and setting priorities. In addition to hearing him speak, the athletes got the chance to take a picture with him and his Super Bowl rings.

Vollmer started 80 games on the offensive line over eight seasons for the Patriots. He was part of the teams that won Super Bowl XLIX and LI.

In 2010, Vollmer was named a second-team All-Pro. New England originally selected him out of the University of Houston in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Vollmer started 25 straight games for the Cougars and was a first-team All-Conference USA selection. He is a native of Germany who did not begin playing competitive football until he was 14 years old.
