Former NFL MVP Shaun Alexander Speaks at Covenant Christian School Fundraiser Next Month

Shaun Alexander is still a beloved figure in the state of Alabama from his days as a star for the Crimson Tide. Next month, he will be helping an in-state school with their fundraiser.

Alexander is speaking at Covenant Christian School's Eagle Ball on May 13th. The event is being held in Sheffield at 5:30 at George's 217.

Individual tickets to attend are $150 while a VIP package for a table of eight is $2,000. The dinner is black-tie optional.

Anderson left Alabama with 15 school records, including the career rushing mark. The Seattle Seahawks selected him in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft and he quickly became one of the best backs in football.

Alexander made three straight Pro Bowls from 2003-2005 and was also a two-time first-team All-Pro during that span. He was the  NFL MVP after leading the league in rushing in 2005.

After spending the first eight seasons in Seattle, Alexander finished his career with the Washington Redskins in 2008. He is a member of the Seahawks 35th anniversary team and the NFL's All-Decade team for the 2000s.
