Former NFL Quarterback Jake Locker Speaks at Washington Fields of Faith Event

Jake Locker may have had a short-lived NFL career, but he is still making an impact off the field.  Last Wednesday, Locker was the featured speaker at a Fields of Faith event in Yakima, Washington.

The former Washington Huskies quarterback spoke to the crowd of middle and high school athletes about his faith.  This Fields of Faith evening at Yakima County Stadium was just one of several events scheduled throughout the country.

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes sponsored the event.  Locker took a job with the Pacific Northwest staff of FCA following his football retirement earlier this year.

While he had other offers to continue his pro career, Locker decided to take his family back to Washington.  He made starts in three of his four seasons with the Tennessee Titans, finishing with a 9-14 record.

Locker put up 4,967 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 22 interceptions in his time with the Titans.  They originally took him eighth overall in the 2011 NFL Draft.

At Washington, Locker started four seasons and put up 53 career touchdowns.  He has his best year as a junior, throwing for 2,800 yards and 21 scores against just 11 interceptions.
