Sloss Tech is meant to highlight the emerging technology sector in Birmingham, Alabama. One of the speakers coming to the second edition of the event is former NFL running back Tiki Barber. 

TechBirmingham and Telegraph Creative are partnering again on Sloss Tech. It takes place on July 14th at the Lyric Theatre and is being held at the same time as the Sloss Music & Arts Festival. 

Organizers are hoping to have an even larger turnout than the 600 attendees that came out to the inaugural Sloss Tech. In his post-football life, Barber has become a technology entrepreneur as the co-founder of the talent procurement software, Thuzio. 

Barber spent his entire ten-year career with the New York Giants. He made three consecutive Pro Bowls from 2004-06 and was named a first-team All-Pro in 2005. 

In Barber's second to last season, he rushed for a Giants record 1,860 yards. He is also the franchise career record holder with 10,449 yards. 

In addition to Barber's business pursuits, he has done extensive work in broadcasting. He is a member of the Giants Ring of Honor and the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.
