Former Ohio State Quarterback Cardale Jones Does Autograph Signing in Columbus

Top NFL Draft prospect Cardale Jones is already taking advantage of his status as ex-Ohio State quarterback.  On Wednesday, Jones did an autograph signing in Columbus at Fourth and Goal store at Polaris Fashion Place.

Over 400 people attended the signing, which started at 6 p.m.  Individuals paid $39 for signed mini-helmets, $49 for autographed jerseys, and $15 per inscription.

Jones took to Twitter to tell fans that it would be his only appearance until March.  He certainly has plenty of work to do in that time period to get ready for the next level.

At the end of the 2014 college football season, Jones took the sport by storm.  Following injuries to Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett, he was inserted into the starting lineup for the Buckeyes and won three games on the road to the inaugural College Football Playoff National Championship.

In the three-game stint that culminated with victory over Oregon in Dallas, Jones threw for 860 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 60.9 percent of his passes. At the onset of the 2015 season, he was again named the starter and finished the year with over 1,400 yards and eight scores.

Before arriving at Ohio State, Jones starred at Glenville High School in Cleveland.  He led the Tarblooders to the state championship game in 2009 and also lettered in basketball and track.
