Former USC Star Quarterback Matt Leinart Holds Celebrity Bowling Tournament

Former USC star Matt Leinart remains a high-profile sports star throughout Los Angeles. Next month, he is hosting the Matt Leinart Foundation 11th Annual Celebrity Bowl.

The event takes place on July 13th at Lucky Strike in Hollywood, with red carpet proceedings starting at 7 p.m. There will be ten teams made up of six people, including two celebrities.

There will also be a silent auction with celebrity memorabilia. The Matt Leinart Foundation works to help disadvantaged youth through learning centers, sporting activities and wish-granting.

Leinart was a three-year starting quarterback for the Trojans. As a junior, he won the Heisman Trophy and led USC to the BCS National Championship.

Leinart and the Trojans returned to the title game in 2005, losing a classic game against Texas. He was a two-time first-team All-American and holds USC records for career touchdown passes and completion percentage.

Leinart was a first round pick of the Arizona Cardinals in the 2006 NFL Draft and spent seven seasons in the NFL. He is currently an analyst for Fox Sports and will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2017.
