Georgia Football Coach Kirby Smart Speaks at Sportsvisions Awards Luncheon December 8th

Sportsvisions is a marketing and events company owned by two University of Georgia football alumns. Each year, they host a special event in Columbus, Georgia to honor local football players and their coaches.

This year, the Columbus Valley Area Awards Luncheon Ceremony is December 8th at 11:30 a.m. at St. Luke Ministry Center. Georgia football coach Kirby Smart will appear as guest speaker.

This is the ninth luncheon that Sportsvisions has hosted. They have had other SEC coaches speak in the past like Auburn's Guz Malzahn and Alabama's Nick Saban

Smart is currently 7-4 in his first season as head coach at this alma mater. From 2008-2015, he was one of the most respected assistant coaches in the country as Saban's defensive coordinator with the Crimson Tide.

In 2009, Smart won the Broyles Award as the top assistant in the country. The American Football Coaches Association named him their Assistant Coach of the Year in 2012.

Smart started at Alabama as defensive backs coach in 2007 and also spent time on Saban's Miami Dolphins and LSU staffs. His coaching career originally started as an administrative assistant for the Bulldogs.
