Hall of Fame General Manager Bill Polian Speaks at Notre Dame Coaches Clinic Next Month

The experience Hall of Fame general manager Bill Polian possesses is almost immeasurable. He will provide some insight next month as a guest speaker at the Notre Dame Football Coaches Clinic.

The clinic runs March 23-25 on campus. Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly and his entire coaching staff will be involved as will other yet-to-be-announced speakers.

There will be several chalk-talk sessions and the opportunity to watch the Irish in spring practice on two occasions. Advance registration for individuals is $70 or $50 per coach in groups of six or more.

Polian spent 32 years working in NFL front offices and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015. He started out as a scout with the Kansas City Chiefs before becoming general manager of the Buffalo Bills in 1984.

Polian built a Bills dynasty that went to four straight Super Bowls at the start of the 1990s. He then worked as the NFL's Vice President of Football Development for two years prior to assuming GM duties with the expansion Carolina Panthers.

The Panthers went to the NFC Championship Game in just their second year of existence. From 1998-2011, Polian served as President and General Manager of the Indianapolis Colts, guiding the franchise to 11 playoff appearances and a victory in Super Bowl XLI.
