Hall of Fame Quarterback Jim Kelly Speaks to Charlotte Touchdown Club

For a legendary football career and an even more for a courageous battle with cancer, Jim Kelly is one of the most inspiring figures in sports.  On Tuesday, he delivered a message relating back to his life journey to the Charlotte Touchdown Club.

In addition to speaking, Kelly did a Q&A and asked trivia questions.  The trivia winners at the Westin Charlotte ballroom got signed football thrown to them by the former Buffalo Bills star.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Kelly told the crowd he is totally cancer free but still six months away from being declared in remission.  He also talked about the tremendous outpouring of support he has received from fans and cheers he got when he walked to the podium at the NFL Draft earlier this month.

Before he was revered for persevering through multiple cancer diagnoses, Kelly was beloved for his football accolades.  He took the Bills to four straight Super Bowls in his career and was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002.

Kelly holds every significant career record for Buffalo quarterbacks and is famous for running the quick-paced K-Gun offense.  He is also a member of the University of Miami Hall of Fame and helped establish the Canes as a college football power.
