Hall of Famer Gaylord Perry Speaks at Nashville Baseball Old Timers Association Banquet in January

Former standout pitcher Gaylord Perry is coming to the Music City. He will be speaking at the 80th annual Nashville Baseball Old Timeser Association banquet. 

The event takes place on January 15th at the Nashville Airport Marriott. Individual tickets to attend cost $75. 

Perry was known as one of the more colorful players of his day. He should definitely have an array of interesting and humorous stories to tell from his storied baseball career. 

Perry played in the major leagues for over two decades and pitched for eight different teams. He retired with 314 wins, 3,534 strikeouts and a 3.11 ERA. 

Perry was a five-time All-Star and led the majors in wins three times. He won the American League Cy Young in 1972 and the National League Cy Young in 1978. 

Perry has his #36 jersey retired by the San Francisco Giants and is a member of the Cleveland Indians Hall of Fame. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.
