Houston Texans Quarterback Deshaun Watson Schedules South Carolina Camp for February

Even though his season has been ended prematurely due to injury, Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson has already made his mark on the franchise. One of the NFL's brightest young stars will return home to the state of South Carolina this winter as a hero.

Watson is hosting a youth football camp in Greenville on February 17th. The one-day event sponsored by Priority One Security has 250 spots available for players between the ages of 6-16.

The four-hour camp has a registration fee of $115 and there are scholarships also available for underprivileged players. Each camper will receive individual instruction from Watson.

Watson is one of the greatest players in Clemson University history. He was a two-time Heisman Trophy finalist while leading the Tigers to back-to-back College Football Playoff National Championship games.

Watson also won the Davey O'Brien Award honoring the nation's best quarterback in 2015 and 2016. The Texans selected him with the 12th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Watson started six games during his rookie season, throwing for 1,699 yards and 19 touchdowns against just eight interceptions. He was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month and the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month in October.
