Iconic Women’s Basketball Coach Geno Auriemma Keynotes Connecticut Realtors Association Event

UConn women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma is an icon throughout the state of Connecticut. Many were excited last week when he was the keynote speaker at an event for the Connecticut Realtors Association. 

There were over 2,000 realtors that heard Auriemma speak at Bushnell Park. The overall theme of the session was "Give us a Connecticut to sell." 

Auriemma told the realtors that they are in the recruiting business and they need to find a reason for buyers to choose them. He talked about the challenges getting people to live in the state. 

Auriemma has won an unprecedented 11 NCAA Division 1 national championships with the Huskies. He has 991 career victories and a .881 winning percentage. 

Auriemma has led UConn to six undefeated seasons and 23 regular season conference championships. He is a seven-time Naismith College Coach of the Year. 

Auriemma has led the U.S. women's national basketball team to two Olympic gold medals. He is a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame.
