LSU Football Coach Ed Orgeron Speaks at NSU Legends Gala in May

One of the most successful personalities in Northwestern State football history is returning to help the program. LSU football coach Ed Orgeron is speaking at NSU Athletics' Legends Gala on May 6th.

The sixth annual event benefits the Demons Unlimited Foundation. Dinner and a live auction kick off at 6 p.m. at the Natchitoches Events Center.

Prior to the main event, there will be a VIP Cocktail Hour with Orgeron at the Chateau St. Denis Hotel at 5 p.m. Individual tickets that include the reception are $75 and those just wishing to attend the gala can pay $50.

Orgeron has long been regarded as one of the top recruiters in college football. After joining the LSU program in 2015, he became the interim head coach in 2016 and led the Tigers to a 6-2 record down the stretch.

LSU was also victorious in the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl and finished top 15 in the country. With Orgeron's success, the school named him the permanent head coach heading into the bowl game.

Orgeron also spent three seasons as the head coach at Ole Miss. He first built his name in coaching and won two national championships as the defensive line coach at the University of Miami from 1988-92.
