Michigan Football Coach Jim Harbaugh Holds Free Autograph Signing in Ann Arbor

Since arriving back at Michigan a year ago, there is no shortage of unconventional things that Jim Harbaugh has tried to do.  While many celebrities charge high rates for autograph signings, Harbaugh is going against the grain in that category yet again.

Today, he is appearing at a free autograph signing in Ann Arbor, starting at 3 p.m.  The appearance is at M-Den, which describes itself as "The official merchandise retailer of Michigan Athletics".

Only 200 people are guaranteed an autograph and those wristbands were being distributed starting at 9 a.m. this morning.  Harbaugh will visit the store for an hour and a half so perhaps more will be signed if time allows.

Harbaugh revitalized the Michigan program in 2015, going 10-3, winning the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl and finishing in the top 15 in both polls.  During the season, the Wolverines had an impressive streak of four straight shutout victories.

There was no question the kind of success that Harbaugh would have at Michigan after his run of excellence with the San Francisco 49ers.  He led the Niners to three playoff appearances in four seasons, including an appearance in Super Bowl XLVII.

Harbaugh also coached collegiately at Stanford and San Diego.  Prior to his coaching career, he was a star NFL quarterback and also the 1986 Big Ten Player of the Year while with the Wolverines.
