Minnesota Vikings Wide Receiver Adam Thielen Speaks at Western Wisconsin Football Camp

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has an inspirational story to tell about his football journey. He was able to raise the spirits of aspiring athletes on Sunday when he spoke at the Western Wisconsin Football Camp.

The camp was held at Menomonie Middle School. Thielen talked about never giving up and having fun while you are pursuing what you love to do. 

There were around 170 kids that are in fifth to eighth grades at 18 area schools who were in attendance. In addition to hearing from Thielen, they got instruction from 25 high school coaches. 

Theilen had a breakout 2016 season, catching 69 passes for 967 yards and five touchdowns. He is a Minnesota native who has been with the Vikings since the 2013 season. 

Thielen played at Minnesota State University and ranks second in school history in receiving yards, second in receptions and third in touchdown catches. He went undrafted before signing with the Vikings. 

After spending one season on the practice squad, Thielen became an important special teams contributor in 2014. He was the Vikings Special Teams Player of the Year in 2015.
