MLS Star Dom Dwyer Makes Live Podcast Appearance in Orlando

Dom Dwyer experienced his first professional soccer success in Orlando. At the end of last month, he returned to the city to join Orlando City Soccer again via trade. 

The MLS star made his first public appearance in the city on Thursday night. Dwyer took part in a special edition of the popular NBC Sports' podcast "Men in Blazers" at the downtown Orlando bar, Lion's Pride. 

"Men in Blazers" host Roger Bennett interviewed Dwyer and he participated in a fan Q&A. He talked about his entire journey to success in soccer. 

Dwyer was originally selected in the first round of the 2012 MLS SuperDraft by Sporting KC. They sent him down to USL-side Orlando City the following season and he preceded to score 15 goals in 13 games. 

Dwyer was called back to Sporting KC, but rejoined Orlando City for the USL Pro Championship and scored four goals in the game. That season, he also helped Sporting make the MLS Cup. 

Dwyer's 55 goals since the start of the 2014 season rank second in MLS. He was named an MLS All-Star this season and saw his first action for the U.S. men's national team.
