New Pittsburgh Steeler T.J. Watt Signs Endorsement Deal with Reebok

T.J. Watt followed in his family's footsteps by being drafted into the NFL this spring. He is also keeping in step with brothers J.J. and Derek by signing an endorsement deal with Reebok.

Watt will be promoting Reebok's training shoe and clothing line. His brother, J.J., is releasing his second signature training shoe on Friday.

The Watts are the only three football players who are signed with Reebok. They are not allowed to wear the company's cleats in competition because of the marketing deal the NFL has with Nike, Adidas and Under Armour.

Watt was selected in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He began his collegiate career as a tight end at the University of Wisconsin before switching to the defensive side of the ball as a redshirt sophomore.

As a junior, Watt played 13 games at outside linebacker for a Badgers team that ranked first in the country in scoring defense. He exploded during his final season at UW, collecting 11.5 sacks.

That sack total was the fifth-highest single-season total in school history. He was named a first-team All-Big Ten pick and second-team All-American.
