Notre Dame Names Three-Time FCS National Championship Coach Chris Klieman Featured Speaker for Coaches Clinic

North Dakota State football coach Chris Klieman has proven to be a master at taking over a program and maintaining success. He will speak about his methods next week at the Notre Dame Football Coaches Clinic.

Klieman follows a line of successful coaches to serve as guest speaker that includes names like Bob Stoops, Bill O'Brien and Mack Brown. In addition to his presentation, Brian Kelly and all ten of his assistants will also speak.

Individual advance registration for coaches to attend from March 22-24 is $70. They will also get access to two Notre Dame practices, the Irish's Pro Day and take part in coaches' socials Thursday and Friday night.

Klieman has racked up a 54-6 record and led the Bison to three FCS National Championships in four years as a head coach. NDSU has also won four Missouri Valley Football Conference titles and he was named the MVFC Coach of the Year in 2017.

Klieman previously spent three seasons as an assistant on the Bison staff and won a championship each year. He joined the program after spending five years coaching defensive backs at his alma mater, Northern Iowa.

Klieman was previously a head coach for one season at Division III Loras in 2005. He began his coaching career as defensive backs coach at NIU in 1991.
