Open Champion Zach Johnson Signs Endorsement Deal with Parsons Extreme Golf

Fresh off victory in a 2015 major championship, Zach Johnson will be sporting some new clubs in his bag in 2016.  Johnson leads a group of eight golfers who have signed up with the upstart company Parsons Xtreme Golf.

PXG was started in September 2014 by GoDaddy.com founder Bob Parsons.  The clubs cost around $300 per iron, $700 per driver, and $5000 for a complete set.

In addition to Johnson, 2014 FedEx Cup Winner Billy Horschel, Chris Kirk, Charles Howell III are some of the more prominent new names on the PXG roster, Ryan Moore has already put the clubs in play last spring and Rocco Mediate also has a deal with the new brand.

After last year's resurgence, Johnson is a big get for PXG.  In addition to winning the Open Championship in a four-hole playoff, he also had ten top ten finishes on the PGA Tour, won nearly $5 million in prize money, and finished sixth in the FedEx Cup standings in 2015.

Johnson catipulted to fame with his first major victory at the 2007 Masters.  He has 12 PGA Tour wins in his career, has finished in the top ten on the money list five times, and is a four-time Ryder Cup participant for the U.S.

Johnson is known for his strong Christian faith and Iowa roots.  The Zach Johnson Foundation works with children and families in need in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and hosts several events throughout the year.
