Pau and Marc Gasol Give Back With the Make-A-Wish Foundation This Holiday Season

Pau and Marc Gasol are known as two of the most charitable players in the NBA.  Last week, they were able to work with the Make-A-Wish Foundation and NBA Cares Season of Giving to make one fan's wish come true.

They met with 14-year-old Diego Ruiz around the Chicago Bulls Memphis Grizzlies game on Wednesday.  Ruiz was recently diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, a cancer that develops in the bone and tissue of children.

The Ruiz family toured the Bulls facility and met the elder Gasol during shootaround.  Then they spent more time with the brothers after the game.

Pau is no stranger to helping others.  He runs his own foundation that promotes children living healthy lifestyles, is a UNICEF ambassador, and has represented the NBA as a spokesman for World Aids Day.

Gasol's capacity for charity off the court matches his excellence on it.  He is a five-time All-Star and one of the greatest international players to ever lace it up in the NBA.

Earlier in his career, he won two titles with the Los Angeles Lakers as well.  Gasol has experienced a career resurgence with the Bulls and is currently averaging 15.7 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game on the season.
