Pawtucket Red Sox Chairman Larry Lucchino Named Keynote Speaker for Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce Dinner

There may be no more important sports figure in Rhode Island than Larry Lucchino.  The Pawtucket Red Sox chairman will serve as keynote speaker on February 9th at the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.

Dinner will be held at the Twin River Event Center.  The event begins with a cocktail and networking hour at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by dinner and Lucchino's speech.

Tickets are $100 for members and $150 for non-members.  Attendees can expect to hear the latest developments PawSox and stories from Lucchino's illustrious executive career in baseball.

Lucchino currently serves as President/CEO emeritus of the Boston Red Sox after a 14-year run of unprecedented success for the franchise.  Under his watch, the Red Sox won three World Series titles, set the Major League Baseball record for consecutive sellouts, and invested over $300 million on renovations to the iconic Fenway Park.

His tenure in Boston came on the heels of successful stints as President/CEO with the Baltimore Orioles and San Diego Padres.  Lucchino saw both franchises set attendance records and led the design efforts on Camden Yards in Baltimore and Petco Park in San Diego.

Lucchino got into the sports arena while serving as general counsel for the Orioles and the NFL's Washington Redskins.  In 1983, he acquired his first World Series ring and a Super Bowl championship for his role with both teams.
