Philadelphia Flyers Legend Reggie Leach Leads Former Players on Canadian Tour

Hockey fans will never forget Reggie Leach's contributions to the Philadelphia Flyers' "LCB" line. His success as an Indigenous player in the NHL also inspired Canadians everywhere.

Leach is helping a new generation reach their dreams, making appearances with a group of former Indigenous players. For the second straight year, the group of eight is touring the Yukon communities.

They have stopped in five different cities this week, sharing a message to Indigenous youth that they to can accomplish their goals. The visit is sponsored by the Council of Yukon First Nations, First Nations and other community partners.

Leach played for three other franchises, but he is best known for spending eight seasons with the Flyers. In his first season with the team, he helped them win the 1975 Stanley Cup.

Leach was even more dynamic in year two, scoring a league-high and franchise-record 61 goals. He went on to win the Conn Smythe Trophy as MVP of the Stanley Cup playoffs even though his team lost the Cup to the Montreal Canadiens.

Later in Leach's career, he was part of a Philadelphia team that rattled off a record 35 game unbeaten streak. He is a member of the Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame, the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and Museum and Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame.
