Racing Great Dale Earnhardt Jr. Makes Appearance on NASCAR: The Cruise This Winter

NASCAR is bringing a unique concept to the high seas.  NASCAR: The Cruise embarks from Miami on a five-day Bahamas tour January 29th.

While the boat is set for many appearances, one of the most anticipated will be Dale Earnhardt Jr.  He will join the boat when they dock in Key West and is appearing on behalf of his foundation.

Attendees will be sailing on the 2,395 Norwegian Pearl.  Some of the racing greats that are riding the ship for the duration of the journey include Bobby Allison, Richard Petty and Rusty Wallace

There is no denying Earnhardt Jr.'s appeal with NASCAR fans.  He has won the Most Popular Driver Award 13 consecutive years.

Most prominently, Earnhardt Jr. has won two Daytona 500s.  He is a winner of 26 Cup series races and has 252 top ten finishes over his 18-year career.

Before racing exclusively in NASCAR's top series, Earnhardt Jr. won the Busch Series championship in 1998 and 1999.  He is the current owner of the racing team, JR Motorsports, which competes on the Xfinity and Truck Series.
