Ravens Running Back Justin Forsett Speaks at the Rookie Symposium

Justin Forsett experienced a breakout season with the Baltimore Ravens last year.  That made his speech at the NFL’s Rookie Symposium even more impactful last week.

Forsett talked with the rookies about the type of work ethic it takes to emerge as a featured running back after eight years in the league. He also chronicled the entire experience for his blog.

Even those he is 5’8” and a former seventh round draft pick, Forsett has been able to have staying power.

In 2014, Forsett held more than just a roster spot however.  He ran for 1,266 yards and eight touchdowns for the Ravens.

Those numbers earned Forsett his first trip to the Pro Bowl.  He was also able to ink a new three-year, $9 million extension to stay in Baltimore.

Prior to joining the Ravens, Forsett played for four different teams, but most notably with the Seattle Seahawks.  Throughout his career, he has served in various roles in the return game and special teams.

There is no question that Forsett is one of the feel good stories going in the NFL today.  Heading into 2015, he has already been named as the 65th best player in the league by the NFL Network.
