Ray Lewis Named Speaker at Lane College Athletic Dinner

Former NFL linebacker for the Baltimore Ravens Ray Lewis will be the guest speaker for the first ever Dinner with the Pros event that is a fundraiser to benefit the Lane College Athletic Department. The dinner will take place on June 13 at the Oman Arena in Jackson, and tickets are going for $100 per person or anywhere from $1,000-$5,000 for sponsorship tables that can seat up to eight people. He will be talking to the audience alongside many other sports stars and Olympic gold medalist Rochelle Stevens for this fun and engaging summer event.

The two-time Super Bowl champion was picked up by the Ravens in the 1996 NFL Draft and stayed with the team throughout his entire 16 year professional football career which he left in 2012 and joined ESPN as a sports commentator the following year. Lewis was elected to be a Pro Bowl player 13 times, and even won the NFL Linebacker of the Year award twice in the years 1999 and 2003. He is known as one of the greatest players ever to play his position in the league and has surely delivered many great plays for his fans and teammates.

The Dinner with the Pros inaugural event is going to be a fantastic one that will hopefully set the precedent for many more to come, and Lewis's attendance is a excellent way to kick it off.
