Retired Offensive Lineman Jon Jansen Speaks at Northern Lakes Economic Alliance Luncheon Next Month

Retired NFL offensive lineman Jon Jansen is a Michigan sports legend. Next month, he is addressing a crowd in Petoskey at the Northern Lakes Economic Alliance.

NLEA is hosting their annual luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on May 19th at Northmen Stadium. The event offers the opportunity to celebrate economic development advocates and projects around the region.

Individual tickets are $20 and there is a special group rate of $180 for a table of ten. As someone who is embedded into the community, Jansen should have a unique presentation.

Jansen had an 11-year career and spent ten of those seasons with the Washington Redskins. He was consistently regarded as one of the best right tackles in football and was a second-team All-Pro in 2005.

In college, Jansen was a two-time first-team All-Big Ten pick for the University of Michigan. He set a school-record by starting 50 straight games and was part of the Wolverines last national championship team in 1997.

Jansen has been a broadcaster for multiple networks in retirement. He is the owner of the CrossFit Petoskey fitness center.
