Retired Quarterback Bob Griese Named Keynote Speaker at Physicians Education Resource Symposium

The 12th Annual International Symposium on Melanoma and Other Cutaneous Malignancies will be held on February 20th at the Eden Roc on Miami Beach.  Event organizer, Physicians' Education Resource, has brought in a local sports great to be the keynote speaker.

Former Miami Dolphins quarterback Bob Griese will address the various professionals in attendance.  Griese's wife, Judi, died from breast cancer in 1988 and he serves as the national Board of Advisors chairman for the Moffitt Cancer Center. 

Attendees can choose to register in advance or on-site.  Advance sign-ups cost $99 for physicians, $49 for fellows, nurses, PAs and other healthcare professionals, and $229 for others from the industry.

Griese will be forever remembered as the quarterback of the undefeated 1972 Super Bowl champion Dolphins.  He also led the franchise to Super Bowl glory the following season.

Spending his entire 13-year career in Miami, Griese went to six Pro Bowls and was a two-time first-team All-Pro.  He retired with over 25,000 yards passing and 192 touchdowns. 

Griese is a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame.  Many more recently may recognize him for his broadcasting work with NBC Sports, ABC Sports, and ESPN.
