Rob Gronkowski Hosts Youth Football Camp at Andrews Air Force Base

Rob Gronkowski had a unique destination to host his most recent youth camp.  Last Wednesday, the New England Patriots tight end kicked off the event at Andrews Air Force Base.

Nearly 100 children from military families attended the two-day camp put on by ProCamps.  Kids from first through eighth grade were put into different groups to learn the proper age appropriate skills.

Proctor & Gamble sponsored the camp and awarded it to the base after Andrews Commissary was one of ten contest winners.  In addition to the top-notch instruction, campers received an autograph from Gronkowski and a t-shirt.

As one of the bigger names in football, Gronkowski’s offseason is normally busy.  That has certainly been the case following one of the best seasons of his career.

Gronkowski helped the Patriots to a win in Super Bowl XLIX, scoring a touchdown in the second quarter.  He made his third Pro Bowl and second first-team All-Pro squad after catching 82 passes for 1,124 yards and 12 touchdowns during the regular season.

2014 was an even more impressive campaign considering that Gronkowski tore his ACL and MCL the season prior.  In recognition of his strong return from injury, he also won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award.
