Seattle Safety Earl Thomas Hosts Steaks and Seahawks Charity Dinner

Seattle Seahawks players have a strong connection to their rabid fan base and the larger northwestern Washington community.  Safety Earl Thomas recently led the charge by hosting a “Steaks and Seahawks” event last Monday to benefit his Guardian Angel Foundation.

Thomas was joined by teammates and over 150 other guests.  The dinner was held at Daniel’s Broiler in Bellevue and also included an auction.

In addition to the dinner, Thomas hosts other events to benefit his charity throughout the year, including a Thanksgiving turkey giveaway, a winter coat drive, and a free football camp.  He also is actively involved with the NFL’s Play60 initiative.

Thomas is one of the stars of the Seahawks “Legion of Boom” secondary.  He has been selected to four consecutive Pro Bowls and has been a member of the first-team All-Pro squad the past three seasons.

Thomas has been instrumental in back-to-back Seattle Super Bowl appearances.  He recorded seven tackles in the team’s win over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVII.

The Seahawks originally selected Thomas 14th overall in the 2010 NFL Draft.  Following the 2014 season, he signed a four-year, $40 million extension that made him the league’s highest paid safety.
