Seattle Seahawks Wide Receiver Jermaine Kearse Speaks at Clover Park Technical College

Standout Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jermaine Kearse was talking to his base when he spoke at Clover Park Technical College.  Growing up in Lakewood, Washington, playing college football at the University of Washington, and starring for the local NFL team make Kearse a local hero for many who were in attendance.

He spoke at the school's "All In: A Champions Mindset" event.  Over 400 people assembled at the McGavick Event Center on campus to hear from Kearse last Tuesday.

He discussed three pillars of success: hard work, perseverance, and believing.  There were students and faculty from Clover Park there to hear his message and also students from schools throughtout the area.

Kearse is an impending free agent, but had his best year to date for the Seahawks in 2015.  He caught 49 passes for 685 yards and five touchdowns as Seattle went back to the playoffs.

With 11 catches for 110 yards and two scores in a playoff loss to the Carolina Panthers, Kearse also kept up his strong play in big games.  Through back to back Super Bowl runs the two seasons prior, he made his name on a series of huge touchdown catches.

Kearse had a streak of four straight postseason games with a touchdown catch.  All of his success has come despite being an undrafted free agent signee by Seattle in 2012.
