Seattle Seahawks Wide Receiver Ricardo Lockette Appears at Local Autograph Signing and Coat Drive

While he is sidelined due to injury for his Seattle Seahawks playoff run, wide receiver Ricardo Lockette is still doing some good in the community.  Lockette will be in Olympia on Tuesday, January 26th for an autograph signing and charity coat drive at Olympia Furniture Company.

His appearance will be from 6-8 p.m. and tickets are $50.  Olympia Furniture Company is already accepting new and used coats and new socks leading up to the event.

They will be donating these items to the Family Renewal Shelter.  Lockette's appearance will be the culmination of the coat drive and only 100 tickets for photos and autographs will be sold.

Lockette has been a key part of the Seahawks run to two Super Bowls as an ace special teams player.  Last year, he caught three passes for 59 yards in the Super Bowl XLIX loss to the New England Patriots.

In November, Lockette suffered neck ligament damage in a game against the Dallas Cowboys and had to get surgery, ending his season.  Seattle originally signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2011, but he also spent time on the practice squads of the San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears before returning in 2013.

Lockette played his college football at Fort Valley State.  He was also a track star at the school and won the Division II national title in the 200 meters in 2008.
