St. Louis Cardinals Broadcaster Rick Horton Keynotes FCA Night of Champions Event in February

Former St. Louis Cardinals player and broadcaster Rick Horton has been active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes throughout his life. This February, he will be a keynote speaker at a special FCA event in Effingham, Illinois. 

The "Night of Champions" takes place on February 7th from 6-8 p.m. at the Thelma Keller Convention Center. Ticket information will be released at a later date. 

Proceeds raised will benefit the local FCA chapter. Since 1993, Horton has been the director of the St. Louis Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes. 

Horton began his major league career with the Cardinals from 1984-87. He helped the franchise reach the World Series in 1985 and 1987. 

Horton went on to play for the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers before joining the Cardinals again to finish his career. He even won a World Series ring with the Dodgers in 1988. 

Horton originally got into broadcasting on a part-time basis with the Cardinals television and radio teams in 1997. He still alternates roles on each broadcast crew today
