Super Bowl Champion Tom Coughlin to Speak At Hall of Fame Ceremony

Greenwich High School has pulled a big guest to be the keynote speaker for their second Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony.  Two-time Super Bowl champion head coach Tom Coughlin will address the crowd on June 10th.

The evening will go off at the Hyatt Regency in the Connecticut town from 6:30-9:30 p.m.  Tickets to eat dinner, see the new inductees, and hear from Coughlin are $100 per person.

Between his time with the New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars, Coughlin has a career NFL head coaching record of 164-140.  He has been with the Giants since 2004 and the franchise has won three NFC East titles along with their two improbable Super Bowl victories.

Coughlin built the Jaguars franchise and took them to the AFC Championship Game in their second season of existence.  In 1999, they again competed for the AFC title after a 14-2 regular season.

Coughlin’s coaching career started as a graduate assistant at his alma mater Syracuse in 1969.  He rose through the ranks as an assistant on both the college and pro levels before accepting the head coaching job at Boston College in 1991.

Many thought that Coughlin’s coaching style may never produce ultimate success, but his willingness to adapt is an important lesson for all.
