Super Bowl Winning Coach Tony Dungy Speaks at Indianapolis Church Sunday

Tony Dungy is well known for his Christian faith that he leaned on to be one of the most successful coaches in the NFL in recent memory.  On Sunday, Dungy made a trip back to the city he achieved the greatest success in, Indianapolis, to speak at Northside New Era Church.

He was there to highlight the church’s 25th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration and Gala.  Dungy spoke on the message of being “All In” in every aspect of life.

As the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, Dungy won Super Bowl XLI.  He retired in 2009 and was inducted into the Colts Ring of Honor in 2010.

Before his time in Indy, Dungy was a noted head coach with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  He turned around a moribund franchise and led them to three playoff appearances.

In 1997, his first season as head coach, the Bucs had their first winning season since 1982.  Dungy also had coaching stops with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings.

He also played three seasons in the NFL and collegiately at Minnesota.  Dungy currently works as an analyst for NBC’s Football Night in America on every Sunday during the football season.

In this current stage of his life, he is a sought-after mentor for many NFL players and still active in many charitable initiatives.  Dungy is now an accomplished author and has books that have landed on the New York Times Best Seller List many times.
