Two-Time Heisman Winner Archie Griffin Named Keynote Speaker for The North American Pizza & Ice Cream Show

This time of year, the name Archie Griffin always looms large in the sports landscape.  Many remember his back-to-back Heisman Trophy winning seasons as the annual award is handed out every December.

That makes the announcement by The North American Pizza & Ice Cream Show that Griffin will serve as their keynote speaker very timely.  The convention will be held in Columbus, Ohio January 24th and 25th.

The Ohio Restaurant Association says Griffin will speak about motivating teams for maximum achievement.  A successful career on and off the football field makes him uniquely qualified to inspire others to achieve great things.

No player has duplicated the pair of Heisman Trophy wins Griffin recorded.  He led the Ohio State Buckeyes to four Big 10 titles and became the first player to ever start in four Rose Bowls.

Griffin’s 5,589 rushing yards at OSU were a NCAA record and his 31 consecutive games of 100 or more rushing yards remains at the top of the charts.  Following his collegiate career, he played seven seasons in the NFL for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Griffin is a member of the College Football Hall of Fame.  He remains active in the Ohio State community and currently serves as a senior advisor to the school’s Office of Advancement.
