Under Armour Extends Endorsement Deal with Stephen Curry Through 2024

There is no surprise that after a successful season and launch of his first signature shoe, Under Armour is locking up reigning NBA MVP Stephen Curry.  The sports apparel brand extended their deal with Curry through 2024.

With the announcement, Under Armour’s stock price hit an all-time high on Wednesday.  As part of the new contract, Curry also gets an ownership stake in the company.

The Curry One debuted during the NBA season and helped UA sell a record $153 million in shoes in three months, according to ESPN’s Darren Rovell.  The Curry Two will hit U.S. stores October 24th.

After leading the Golden State Warriors to a title and making his first All-NBA first team, there is no signs of Curry slowing down as he heads into a new season.  Last year, Curry broke his own single-season three point record and also shattered Reggie Miller’s postseason mark.

Entering his seventh season in the NBA, Curry has been a revelation.  When Golden State chose the high-volume college scorer seventh overall out of Davidson in the 2009 NBA Draft, there were doubts about how bright his future would be.

With some saying he is already the greatest shooter in league history, Curry has certainly exceeded expectations.
