Virginia Football Coach Bronco Mendenhall Keynotes Chamber of Commerce Luncheon Next Month

Virginia football coach Bronco Mendenhall will be playing to his base at an upcoming speaking engagement. He is keynoting the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce annual luncheon on April 18th.

The luncheon begins at 11:30 a.m. at the DoubleTree Hotel. In addition to Mendenhall's presentation, the Christopher Lee Small Business Person Award will be handed out.

Prior to April 10th, tickets are $42 for chamber members and $47 for non-members. The price rises $10 after that date.

Mendenhall took over the Cavaliers last year and will look to rebuild a program that has had five straight losing seasons. He already has experience building a winner from 11 years at BYU.

Mendenhall's teams at BYU recorded five double-digit win seasons and he ranks second all-time in coaching wins. Under his watch, the Cougars won two Mountain West Conference titles and never finished worse than 6-6.

Prior to becoming a head coach, Mendenhall spent two years as an assistant coach at BYU. He had various other coaching stops across the west, including multiple stints at his alma mater, Oregon State.
